We had the chance to sit down with Bobby V. a while back.   Below is the transcript of the interview.

We read that you got a degree in Mass Communications from Clark Atlanta University. Do you think that your education has helped you in anyway with your music?
BOBBY VALENTINO: Oh yeah, it has definitely helped with communications. If you’re a singer or entertainer, all it is is communications. Whether you’re doing interviews or on stage, having that communication degree has definitely helped me out a lot

How did you initially connect with Ludacris and the whole Disturbing Tha Peace family?
BOBBY VALENINO: Basically, we had mutual friends and through those mutual friends, we made it happen.

We heard that the name Bobby Valentino is now banned in the UK. What are you going to call yourself in the UK?

Has there ever been a time where someone has told you that you couldn’t reach your dream of being a singer – If so, what did you do to prove them wrong?
BOBBY VALENTINO: There will always be haters out there. People that tell you that you can’t do something. But always, it just motivates me to go harder and to continue my goals and dreams. Even now, there are people that don’t believe and think that I am just a one hit wonder. So, you know, it is just motivation for me. It just makes me want to work harder.

Is there ever going to be a tour with the whole Disturbing Tha Peace family?
BOBBY VALENTINO: We’re talking about that so it is definitely a possibility.

Moving on to your personal life, what do you do on your free time?
BOBBY VALENTINO: I like to just relax and kick back and just really kickin’ it with my friends and family.

We actually got this next question sent to us. If you could date one famous singer, who would it be?

What about actress?

Have you had the chance to meet Alicia Keys or Halle Berry?
BOBBY VALENTINO: No, I haven’t had the chance to meet them.

Ladies are probably wondering, are you currently single?

What do you look for in the ideal woman?
BOBBY VALENTINO: A woman that is ambitious and independent. She believes in herself and knows how to have a good conversation.

In 5 years, what do you see yourself still a singer? Producer? Entrepreneur?
BOBBY VALENTINO: In 5 years, I see myself doing all that. Being a producer. Being an Entrepreneur. A Writer. And continue to make hit R&B records!

Do you have any advice for aspiring artists?

BOBBY VALENTINO: Never give up on yourself. Continue to believe in yourself.

Do you have any shout-outs or thank you’s?
BOBBY VALENTINO: I want to thank Def Jam and all my friends, family, and fans for supporting me. And for all those not supporting me, you’re definitely missing out on a treat.
