From my architecture stdeunt days I remember “eye candy” as this disparaging term the critics at the University of Minnesota architecture school used to describe design presentations that looked pretty but had no depth. I just followed the Theo Jansen post to YouTube and am absolutely blown away by the depth behind the pretty picture. It’s like Leonardo sketches come to life.
