As many of you may remember, a plane crashed in South Carolina sometime last year which led to the deaf of four individuals.  Although DJ AM and Travis Barker of Blink 182 were also on the plane, they were fortunately able to escape.

However, both DJ AM and Barker were severely injured and DJ AM is suiing for $20 million – lost earnings, hospital bills, physical pains and emotional distress.

DJ AM is especially well known on the West Coast and with nite life, however, he didn’t gain mainstream recognition until he began dating Nicole Richie.
