For Country music-fans, the name Darius Rucker should be quite familiar.  But, for those not too familiar with the naem of Darius Rucker, 90’s rock band, Hootie & The Blowfish should ring a bell.

Darius Rucker is the lead singer of Hootie & The Blowfish, but these days he is topping the Country charts with his new solo-country album, ‘Learn to Live.’  Although the album was released in September 2008, Rucker is still riding high on the Billboard charts.  He is the first African American to top the Billboard charts with a #1 hit since Charley Pride’s 1983 ‘Night Games.’

His album has already been certified Gold by the RIAA.  Rucker’s first single ‘Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It’ went to #1, while his second single, ‘It Won’t Be Like This for Long’ went to #8 on the Country charts.
