PITBULL INTERVIEW:
On September 22, 2006, we had the opportunity to speak with Pitbull, Armando Christian Pérez, one of the most successful Latino rappers, for an in-depth interview about his career, growing up, his thoughts on President Bush, and new album (El Mariel).
|
What advice do you have for the aspiring singer, aspiring rapper, aspiring entrepreneur to succeed?
PITBULL: It's real short for that. For that, I got the 3 P's, which is Patience, Persistence, and Passion = Success. Hurry up and go get it!

A bunch of your fans sent us questions for you. One asked what is your favorite movie and another asked what do you do on your free time.
PITBULL: My free time and vacation is when I am at home with my family like watching TV. I really don't do that anymore, so that is truly a vacation for me right there. I also love to be on the islands. I love to go to the Dominican Republic and just hang out. I love the water, the tropics, palm trees and all that. In terms of favorite movies, I have a few. Devil Advocate is definitely one of my favorite movies. Crash was a great movie. Scarface, of course and Nicholas Cage's Lord of War.
|
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
PITBULL: 5 years? I see myself on the islands, picking up the phone and saying take the deal, don't take the deal. But, for right now I got 5 more years to get to that point and I will be grinding my ass off to make sure my family will be all right and set for life.

Do you have anything that you would like to say to all your fans around the world right now?
PITBULL: It is real simple man. I tell them at every show and every chance I get that without them, Pitbull is nothing. You guys are the reason for keeping me alive and giving me the opportunity to do what I do. So I really appreciate it and hopefully, I don't let y'all down with this new album.
