| MIDWEST CITY INTERVIEW: |
| On October 03, 2006, we had the opportunity to speak with Universal Motown's R&B quartet, Midwest City, for an in-depth interview about their background, upcoming album (Authentic R&B), projects, and personal lives. |

| ABOUT MIDWEST CITY: |
|
Every generation a group emerges whose talent shines so brightly, you feel it from the second they sing their first note… they’re going to be BIG. Midwest City captures the essence of R&B on their debut disc, Authentic R&B. The new album is the perfect blend of up-tempo, funk-infused tracks, complementing soulful ballads laced with lush harmonies. Heavy hitters such as the Trackmasters (Jennifer Lopez, Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey), Cool & Dre (Game. Fat Joe, Ja-Rule), Poli Paul (Black Eyed Peas, Nas, Christina Milian), L.T. Hutton and Will Campbell lent their platinum production touch to the album. “Our album is about what we go through in our every day lives. We want people to leave knowing what Midwest City is,” says Tone. Struggle and respect is at the core of every song, with the group promising their fans that no matter where their journey takes them, they'll always hold onto their small town values. After years of hard work, determination and faith, Midwest City stands poised to grab their rightful place on the R&B stage and reign supreme.

| Can you give us an overview of Midwest City? |
MIDWEST CITY: Of course. We're Midwest City. We're out of Midwest City, Oklahoma. We're made up of 2 sets of brothers. We got Solomon and Tone. Their brothers. Then we got Shamale and Shay. Their brothers and we're all cousins.
We started out as an acapella gospel group. We started as acapella for 6-7 years of our lives then we converted to R&B. From there, we moved from Oklahoma to Sacramento, California to further pursue our careers, where we ran into a production team. Just travelling back and fourth recording, we ran into a production team called Spencow Entertainment. We met the producers there and got our demo together and everything. We signed to the production company and they introduced us to our management team. From there, we started taking meetings with labels and we got labels interested in us. We ended up going with Universal Motown and there you have it today.

| How did you guys get the opportunity to open up for such artists as Yolanda Adams and Kci & JoJo? |
| MIDWEST CITY: During that period of time that we were staying in Sacramento, we were messing with producers and they had connections. We were doing local shows around Sacramento, trying to get our names out there and when people heard us sing, they would let us on the show and we started to build a name for ourselves. And through those, we opened up for quite a few people. |
|
| Growing up, did you guys have any favorite singers? |
MIDWEST CITY (SOLOMAN): My favorite singer of all time is Ginuwine
MIDWEST CITY (SHAMALE): R. Kelly!
MIDWEST CITY (TONE): Jodeci
MIDWEST CITY (SHAY): Stevie Wonder |
|
| With 4 members in the group, how are you guys different? |
| MIDWEST CITY (TONE): Yeah, Solomon is usually the more playful type and he will play with you and never take anything seriously. Then you have Shay. He is the country dude. You know, he just go around being country. He has got that country swagger and people can't ever understand him. Then you got Shamale. He is what a lot of people call the lady's man. Then you got me, who takes everything seriously. |
|
| Do you guys have any goals for this album? |
| MIDWEST CITY: Yeah, to go triple platinum! |
